IPoB

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are the officially inhabitants of the Republic of Biafra. Biafra was a secessionist state in south eastern Nigeria that existed from 30 May 1967. The inhabitants were the Igbo language speaking people who led the secession war against Nigeria government due to economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions, wanton killing of the (IPoB) among the various geo-political zones of Nigeria.

The creation of the new state that was pushing for recognition was among the causes of the Nigerian Civil War, also known as the (Nigerian-Biafran) war. After two-and-a-half years of war, during which a million civilians died in fighting and from famine, the Indigenous People of Biafra was forced to agree to a ceasefire with the Nigerian Federal Military Government, and Biafra was reintegrated into Nigeria. Today, the (IPOB) are simply under occupation, servitude, modern day slavery and marginalization in their own land under the Hausa-Fulani controlled Nigerian establishment.
