Oklahoma is a state located in the South Central region of the United States of America. Its nickname is "The Sooner State," and is the 28th most populous and 20th-largest state. Oklahoma City is the state capital. Other major cities are Tulsa, Norman, Lawton, Broken Arrow, Edmond, Midwest City, Moore, Enid, and Stillwater. It is bounded on the east by Arkansas and Missouri, on the north by Kansas, on the northwest by Colorado, on the far west by New Mexico, and on the south and near-west by Texas. It entered the Union Nov. 16, 1907 and became the 46th state.
