Pietà

Pietà is a 2012 South Korean film. The director of the movie is Kim Ki-duk. The Italian word pietà means piety in English and stands for the Christian form of art depicting the Virgin Mary cradling the dead body of Jesus. The movie depicts the mysterious relationship between a brutal man who works for loan sharks and a middle-aged woman who claims that she is his mother.

The movie won the Golden Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival.
