1)Inquiry, is a noun, deriving from verb to 'inquire' and means looking, searching for information, through investigation. For ex. Police may proceed to inquiry, upon looking for someone who has disappeared, after for ex. committing a theft, robbery or murder, or group of people,

2)Inquest=is verb, that means interrogate, and noun is Inquestor, to whom Prosecutor may send an accused, or arrested person after denunciation, or 'caught in act', thus sent on basis of report of Prosecutor to Inquestor for further inquiry through interrogation; then both inquestor and prosecutor decide whether this person should be preprisoned, or set free temporarily with measures of confinement, as 'potentially dangerous person' or - led to court, after announced accusation based on acts and relative legal arguments of Prosecutor (and on basis of his/her report)-on a fixed date of Trial.

3) Inquisition=the Group of representatives/priests of Catholic Church in Middle Ages, who investigated crimes related to religion, but having actually high enough political authority, to punish as said by Historians (often in an arbirary) way, crimes such as for ex. 'sending-condemning sorceries to fire'. etc..

4)Insane=fool, or mad, partially or totally; thus a person who suffers from less or more serious mental disorder, but the term usually applies for 'serious' mental disorders, and where this person, if is dangerous for public order, should be closed in a House of Insanity or Clinic for a while or so, on basis of opinion of psychiatrist, or council of psychiatrists who check the mental state of this X person for insanity or not. Nb Noted, that these persons are not legally entitiled to proceed to formal, or often also informal acts of Law, but talking on serious cases..and if they own property, in common with other members of family, their share is often or should..be treated/handled on basis of custody, usually total in cases of above 67% insanity, upon relative order of Court, after request/claim of relatives to Court, and custody person is assgined by court also, after indication/or proposal of interested parties, and those who have legal right, for this..
