Joel and Ethan Coen

Joel David Coen (November 29, 1954) and Ethan Jesse Coen (September 21, 1957), known together professionally as the Coen brothers, American filmmakers. The brothers write, direct and produce their films jointly with Joel received concentrating mainly on directing and Ethan on producing. They often alternate top billing for their screenplays while sharing film credits for editor under the alias Roderick Jaynes. They are known in the film business as "the two-headed director", as they share a similar vision of their films. Their body of work includes award-winning and award nominated films such as Barton Fink (1991), Fargo (1996), O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), No Country for Old Men (2007), A Serious Man (2009).
