Peanut butter
Peanut butter is a food paste, made from ground roasted peanuts. It is commonly used as a sandwich spread in North America, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and the Philippines.
Though high in monounsaturated fats, peanut butter also is a good source of protein, vitamins B3 and E, magnesium, folate, fiber, and the antioxidant p-coumaric acid.
In 2011, severe droughts in parts of the US have lead to a shortage in peanuts, causing the price of peanut butter to increase by nearly 30%.
