end resistance

The resistance of a variable resistor when measured from one end terminal and the wiper, when the wiper is adjusted to one extreme end of the range.

tap

A fixed terminal on a trimmer or potentiometer providing a fixed resistance value. A tap is placed between the two fixed ends of a variable resistor.

A coating obtained by fusing powdered glass to a substrate, which is used for humidity protection, and found on fixed and variable wirewound resistors.
temperature coefficient

The magnitude of change in resistance due to temperature, usually expressed in percent per degree celsius or parts per million per degree celsius (ppm/C).
non-established reliability (Non-ER)

A resistor covered by an older military specification that does not have multi-levels of quality.
attenuator
Electronic components; Resistors
A resistive network that produces a reduction in amplitude. Common resistor terminators include 'Pi' attenuator pads, 'L' attenuator pads, or 'T' attenuator pads.
