English (EN) 1853-56. A war between Russia and an alliance of Great Britain, France, Sardinia and Turkey. The main theatre of the war was the Crimea, where an Anglo-French army eventually captured the fortress city of Sevastopol in September 1855. A peace treaty, the Treaty of Paris, was signed in March 1856.
