Instead, new pages are allocated and written while the pages whose values are being replaced are retained as shadow copies to support system restoration. The shadow copies are deleted when they are no longer needed.<br />(2) The capability of a system to copy data from one system to another system and keep it up to date whenever it is changed on any system that shadows the information in the network.
