Chinese

It's no surprise that Chinese tops the list of the most difficult languages in the world. Nearly 1.2 billion people (around 16% of the world's population) speak some form of Chinese as their first language. This huge number of native speakers also means that there are a lot of different variations and different dialects of Chinese, some of which are mutually unintelligible.

What makes Chinese so difficult to learn? First of all, it doesn't have an alphabet, so its writing system is incredibly hard to learn and get used to when trying to write or even read. Also, it's a tonal language, which is another thing that takes a long time to get used to and learn how to use and pronounce properly. Another thing is the variations and the dialect - it limits the areas and cities and people you can speak to.

Chinese is probably the most difficult language in the world to learn, if not it's definitely one of the most difficult ones. How ever, as long as there's will to learn, there's a way.
