He born on January 25, 1890. (Barcelona, Spain)

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Caracas where he received lessons Herrera Toro and Mauri. He was a pupil of his father Angel Cabré and Magariña. In Paris he attended the Academy La Grande Chaumiere and Colarossi. He was a founding member of the Fine Arts in 1912, along with Edmundo Monsanto and Leoncio Martinez.

Important Venezuelan landscape, is known as "the painter of Ávila." His parents were the Spanish sculptor Angel Cabré i Magriñá and Concepción ALsina. Arrives in Caracas at 6 years of age, attending their first letters with a teacher named Gil who taught at a small school located on the corner of Carmen and Bucare. Due to economic constraints of his family, was obliged to leave school and get a job in a stall in the market of San Jacinto. In 1904, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts and in 1908 he obtained his first academic distinction with an oversized box: Savannah scenery White

In 1912, he joined the Círculo de Bellas Artes, a trade association of artists and writers. Two years later, part 5 pictures at an exhibition organized by that circle; one of which was acquired by photographer Sunday Lucca. In 1920 he held his first solo exhibition, which allowed him to collect enough money to travel to Paris where he enrolled at the Academy of La Grande Chaumiere. In 1930, he returned to Caracas to present an exhibition of 26 works from his French stage in the Central club. Later that same year, travels back to Paris, but in 1931 the death of his companion Germaine, decided to settle permanently in Caracas. In 1936, during the tenure of Eleazar López Contreras, was commissioned to reform the Academy of Fine Arts, task however is assumed by Antonio Edmundo Monsanto. Despite this, in 1942, being president Isaías Medina Angarita, accepts the address of that institute held the post until 1946.
