Ming Dynasty

The Ming Dynasty came to power through a peasants revolt against the Mongol Yuan Dynasty. Unlike previous Dynasties the Ming Dynasty thrived off of agricultural cultivation and expansion, unlike monetary developments. This could be perhaps the emperor himself originated as a peasant. Throughout the Ming Dynasty China expanded and thrived off their agriculture advancements. Mongol tribes did start tormenting the Northern parts of China and thus a massive refitting and customization to the Great Wall was done during the Ming dynasty. The Great Wall of China although constructed in a much earlier time was refurbished and completed in the Ming Dynasty. As well as the Forbidden City came to its present splendor during the Ming Dynasty. The Ming Dynasty lasted from 1368-1644 AD.
