motoneurons
Anatomy; Brain
Neurons responsible for movement - the cell bodies of these neurons are located within the brain or spinal cord and the axons are located in muscle fibers
multipolar neurons
Anatomy; Brain
Neurons responsible for movement - the cell bodies of these neurons are located within the brain or spinal cord and the axons are located in muscle fibers
medulla oblongata
Anatomy; Brain
The lowest section of the brainstem (at the top end of the spinal cord); it controls automatic functions including heartbeat, breathing, swallowing, etc.
frontal lobes
Anatomy; Brain
The most recently evolved section of the brain, used for conscious planning, problem solving, and control of emotion.
