A ball with lot's of holes in it. It is used to determine a bowler's finger size and span for drilling. With these measurements a custom ball can be drilled.

clean game
Sports; Bowling

A game where only strikes or spares have been thrown. Meaning there have been no open frames.

take off a mark
Sports; Bowling

When counting marks (see counting marks), a mark is removed or not added because a bowler scored five or less on a spare or on a double.

clothesline

A 1-2-4-7 or 1-3-6-10 split.

tandem
Sports; Bowling

Two pins that are one behind the other. See also, barmaid, bicycle, double wood, one-in-the-dark and sleeper.

clutch

A pressure situation. A term not limited to bowling. Used a lot in basketball. As in "He is clutch free throw shooter."

tap
Sports; Bowling

When a pin remains standing on what seemed like a strike. See also, burner, rap and touch.
