Geothermal
Geothermal gradient is the rate of increasing temperature with respect to increasing depth in the Earth's interior. Away from tectonic plate boundaries, it is 22.1°C per km of depth (1°F per 70 feet of depth) in most of the world. Strictly speaking, geo-thermal necessarily refers to the Earth but the concept may be applied to other planets.

Geothermal
thermal conductivity
Energy; Geothermal
A measure of the ability of a substance to conduct heat. A potential geothermal resource is evaluated in terms of heat flow, estimated from the geothermal gradient and thermal conductivity ...
thermal gradient
Energy; Geothermal
The rate of increase or decrease in the Earth's temperature relative to depth.
total dissolved solids (TDS)
Energy; Geothermal
Used to describe the amount of solid materials found in a liquid.
transmission line
Energy; Geothermal
Structures and conductors that carry bulk supplies of electrical energy between power-generating units.
turbine
Energy; Geothermal
A device in which a stream of water or gas turns a bladed wheel, converting the kinetic energy of the fluid flow into mechanical energy available from the turbine shaft. The earliest turbines were ...
vapor-dominated
Energy; Geothermal
A geothermal reservoir system in which subsurface pressures are controlled by vapor rather than by liquid. Sometimes referred to as a dry-steam reservoir.
alloy
Energy; Geothermal
A substance made of two or more metals, or a metal and one or more non-metals, that has mostly metallic properties. Alloys are often created to improve the properties of metals such as strength, ...
