The back side of the cup. If a ball curls around the edge and falls in the back side of the cup it is said to have gone in the "back door."

backhander

When a player taps a ball into the cup with the backside of his putter. Usually used on a very short putt that is guaranteed to go in.

albatross

A hole in which a player scores 3 under par. It is also known as a double eagle.

air mail

Sports; Golf

When a shot goes much further than it was supposed to and misses the target. The same usage can be used in baseball, when a player throws the ball much further than he intended to.
