In image processing, a specified gray level used for producing a binary image. See also: thresholding.

image

Software; Image processing

In image processing, a two-dimensional representation of a scene. Syn: picture. See also: digital image.

brightness

Software; Image processing

In image processing, a value associated with a point of an image, representing the amount of light projected from a scene in a given direction.

complement

Software; Image processing

In image processing, all points in an image that do not belong to a given subset of the image.

texture

Software; Image processing

In image processing, an attribute representing the spatial arrangement of the gray levels of the pixels in a region.

resolution

Software; Image processing

In image processing, the degree to which closely spaced objects in an image can be distinguished from one another.
