Minerals
Naturally occurring substance that is solid and stable at room temperature, representable by a chemical formula, usually abiogenic, and has an ordered atomic structure. It is different from a rock, which can be an aggregate of minerals or non-minerals, and does not have a specific chemical composition. The general definition of a mineral encompasses the following criteria: 1 - Naturally occurring 2 - Stable at room temperature 3 - Represented by a chemical formula 4 - Usually abiogenic 5 - Ordered atomic arrangement

anorthoclase
Geology; Minerals
The mineral anorthoclase ((Na,K)AlSi 3 O 8 ) is a crystalline solid solution in the alkali feldspar series, in which the sodium-aluminium silicate member exists in larger proportion. It typically ...
alluaudite
Geology; Minerals
Alluaudite is a relatively common alkaline manganese iron phosphate mineral with formula (Na,Ca)Mn 2+ (Fe 3+ ,Mn 2+ ,Fe 2+ ,Mg) 2 (PO 4 ) 3 , of secondary (metasomatic) origin, related with granitic ...
schäferite
Geology; Minerals
Schäferite is a rare vanadate mineral with chemical formula Ca 2 NaMg 2 (VO 4 ) 3 . Schäferite is isometric, which means that it has three axes of equal length and 90° angles between the axes. ...
