1. An integral multiple or submultiple of a given frequency; a sinusoidal component of a periodic wave. 2. A signal having a frequency that is a harmonic (sense 1) of the fundamental frequency.
turbidity

A unit of measurement which indicates the amount of solids in the water by quantifying the degree to which light travelling through a water column is scattered by the suspended particles.
