Rowing
Rowing is a competitive sport where rowers race each other in boats by using oars to propel themselves forward. The athlete sits in the boat facing backwards with two oars (one on either side).

These are attached to the bottom of the boat and it is where the rower rest their feet so they will not move when he / she is rowing. A rower's shoes are usually attached to the foot stretchers.
