In street name

Holding shares electronically, as opposed to owning a physical stock certificate.
Dividends

A proportion of the company's earnings given to the shareholders, usually at the end of the financial year.
Dividend per share

The amount in currency of the company's earnings to be distributed to the shareholders per share they earn: e.g. for a dividend of 5 cents per share, if I have 1000 shares, I will receive $50.
Limited liability
