Weightlifting

Weightlifting is a type of physical activity performed individually both as a means of fitness and as competition. The primary objectives of weightlifting are to increase the strength and size of skeletal muscle. Weighttraining can use a variety of equipment to target different muscles in the body.

That part of a lift where the weightlifter can't get past to complete the lift. A spotter will help the weightlifter get past the sticking point. Not in competition setting.

thumbless grip

training to failure

To do so many repetitions that a weightlifter can't do any more lifts. You exhaust the muscle to the point that it canít lift anymore.
