Iridescent shark

This is not a real shark - it is a type of catfish that superficially resembles a shark. It is a fresh-water fish that can grow to over 4 feet long. It's native to the rivers of Southeast Asia. It has also been introduced into other river basins as a food source, and its striking appearance and iridescence have made it common in the fishkeeping hobby. Their omnivorous diet consists of crustaceans, other fish, and plant matter.

The iridescent shark is a popular home aquarium fish, but needs a large tank.

Also known as the Siamese shark or sutchi catfish.
