Orlando Bloom

(1977- ) Orlando is a British actor who became famous thanks to his role as the elf Legolas in the "Lord of the Rings" saga. Actually he had done some TV shows and a small part in the film "Wilde" before his break-through role. He also appears in the film "Black Hawk Down" as a soldier.

But after his big success, more great opportunities knocked at his door: "Pirates of the Caribbean" saga, "Troy", "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Elisabethtown" among others. Then he decided to go back to theatre roles, and he made his debut in "In Celebration". Bloom is definetely a successful actor nowadays.

Orlando is a practicing Buddhist. In 2004, he became a full member of Soka Gakkai International, a lay Buddhist association affiliated with the teachings of Nichiren. In 2009 he was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador

And about his personal life, in late 2007, Bloom began dating Australian model Miranda Kerr, and in 2010 they got married. In 2011 was born their son Flynn.
