Rihanna

(1988- ) Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a singer from Barbados. She released her debut album (Music of the Sun) in 2005. It was a success so in 2006 she launched her second album (A Girl Like Me). One year later her third album (Good Girl Gone Bad) made her being nominated for nine Grammy Awards. In 2009 she presented her fourth album (Rated R,) and one year later she launched her fifth album (Loud). She has won several awards for her work and she has also been appointed the official ambassador of youth and culture for Barbados.

Her childhood was deeply affected by her father's addiction to drugs and alcohol. Rihanna‘s parents' rocky marriage ended when she was 14. In 2003 she met the producer Evan Rogers who helped her to develop her musical career and in 2005 she signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings. After the release of her second album, Rihanna embarked on her first headlining tour, the Rihanna: Live in Concert Tour. In 2007 she decided to change to the producers Timbaland as she was looking for a new style.

In 2009 she was assaulted by her boyfriend in that moment, Chris Brown. After the judgement he received five years probation and was ordered to stay fifty yards away from Rihanna, unless at public events, which then will be reduced to ten yards.

Rihanna is also starting her own company (Rihanna Entertainment) in which she will "merge all of her businesses from music to book ventures and in 2006 she created her Believe Foundation to help terminally ill children.
