Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a smartphone manufactured by the South Korean company Samsung Electronics. It was announced in New York on March 14, 2013. It has a 13 megapixel back camera, and a 5 inch 1080p display. The Galaxy S4 also features the Exynos 5 Octa processor based on ARM Holdings' big.LITTLE architecture and includes one 1.8 GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 cluster and one 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 cluster, making the Galaxy S4 the first, and currently only, octo-core smartphone. Although the phone has 8 cores, only 4 can be active at anytime, either 4 Cortex-A15 or 4 Cortex-A7. Users get the performance of a quad core phone.

The Galaxy S4 version contains a 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T processor for phones sold in the United States. The version sold elsewhere contains a 1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor. Due to the front-facing camera, the phone can pause a video automatically while the user looks away from the screen and can scroll a page if the user swipes their hand without touching the screen. Video capture in dual mode uses the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
