Dufnering is photo fad in which participants are photographed slouching against a wall while appearing dazed or exhausted. The fad was inspired by a professional golfer, Jason Dufner, who was caught on camera slumped against a classroom wall, gazing straight ahead with a blank stare, arms rigidly by his side.

The dufnering photo was originally taken by journalist Christine Lee that showed Jason Dufner slouching against the wall during his visit to the Salesmanship Youth and Family Center. The same day, Twitter user David Watkins tweeted the photograph which was subsequently picked up by the Gawker sports blog Deadspin.
