OnePlus

OnePlus is a producer of smartphones from China founded on December 17, 2013. OnePlus is headquartered in Shenzhen. OnePlus was founded in December 2013 by Pete Lau, previously Vice President at OPPO. The OnePlus One was announced in San Francisco at the prices of $299 and $349 for the 16GB and 64GB models respectively. It runs a custom version of CyanogenMod, named 11S which is built for the device which is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

There have been reports of OnePlus being a wholly owned subsidiary by Oppo. Documents filed with Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervisory Authority in China state that OnePlus is a 100% Oppo owned subsidiary.

Oppo however is distancing itself from OnePlus, stating "We understand the confusion as many people are just finding out about OnePlus. But as we've said from the beginning, OnePlus is a separately run company that does share investors with OPPO"
