Qing Dynasty
The Qing Dynasty (1678-1911 AD) was the last imperial dynasty in China. The Qing Dynasty was the second non-Han Chinese dynasty being founded by the Manchus from the North however they adopted Chinese culture and Confucius way of government and thus is considered a Chinese dynasty. By the end of Emperor Qianlong's reign the Qing dynasty had become one of the largest empires in history backed by one third of the worlds population and the worlds leading economy. However its growth was stagnated in the 19th century due to British imperialism and a defeat to the British in the First Opium War leading to the unfair Treaty of Nanking. Later at the turn of the 20th century the Xinha rebellion overthrew the Qing Dynasty and with it the last imperial dynasty in China.
