ಅನುಮೋದಿತ ಔಷಧಗಳು

ಯು. ಎಸ್. ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಔಷಧಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ತರುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಔಷಧ ಆಡಳಿತವು (ಎಫ್‍ಡಿಎ) ಆ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಔಷಧಿ ಎಂದು ಅನುಮೋದಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು. ಅನುಮೋದನಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ಹಲವು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ - ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್-ಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಗಳು, ಸುರಕ್ಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳು, ಔಷಧಿ ತಯಾರಕರು ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಔಷಧಿ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಎಫ್‍ಡಿಎ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಮರುಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಎಫ್‍ಡಿಎ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಮೋದಿಸುವುದು/ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವುದು.
