El movimiento de un balance de un extremo al otro. En un movimiento de reloj clásico de la balanza oscila a una velocidad de 5 vibraciones / segundo o 18,000 vibraciones / hora. En los relojes modernos el número de vibraciones se ha aumentado a 19.800, 21.600, 28.800 y 36.000. TAG Heuer tiene el récord de la mayor frecuencia en un reloj de pulsera mecánico con el Calibre 360, lo que hace 360,000 vibraciones / hora.
