photochemical air pollution

Pollution caused by the reaction of unsaturated and saturated hydrocarbons, aromatics and aldehydes (emitted owing to the incomplete combustion of fuels) with light. It causes eye irritation.

Type of wetland with water standing permanently or for a considerable period of time and with a dense cover of native vegetation. Swamps may be freshwater or saltwater, and tidal or non-tidal.
