Luge

Luge is a one or two person sport in which the participants ride a small sled feet first and face up down an ice slope or street. Because of the high speeds attained luge is timed to the thousandth of a second, it is an Olympic sport.

Competitors make practice runs before the official race begins. Single sled competitors make at a minimum 5 training runs and doubles make at least 3 training runs.

When coming out of a curve, if the line the sled is taking is perfect the competitor will feel the sled being pushed (getting pressure) out of the curve.
