Comte Audoin de Dampierre

Comte Audoin de Dampierre Champagne is from an outstanding small house based in the village of Chenay. The family has been associated with Champagne for over 700 years. It is served in the French Presidential Cellars and French National Assembly as well as the Spanish Court and the 42 French Embassies.

Count Audoin de Dampierre, descended from one of the oldest French families, maintains the traditions of patience, hard work, and knowledge of the soil - all of which aid in producing wines of prestige and perfect balance.

These Champagnes were chosen by the former French president Jacques Chirac and his prime minister as the beverage of choice for important state functions. Champagne is a blend of different growths in which the ultimate 'cuvee' takes on the characteristics of each village.

In order to maintain the quality of its champagne, Count Audoin de Dampierre himself oversees every aspect of the production. From the blending of the finest grapes to the maturing of the champagne, he combines the use of modern equipment with traditional methods.

Painstaking in the choice of his wines, Audoin de Dampierre only makes his selection after having personally tasted the best samples. His Champagne is therefore entirely made from 100% grapes of Premiers Crus: the superb Chardonnays of Avize, Cramant, and Mesnil-sur-Oger, (giving bouquet, elegance and finesse) and the great Pinot Noirs from the mountains of Reims, Bouzy, and Ambonnay (contributing body, character and depth of flavor).

The spirit and image of Champagne is conceived and maintained in this traditional ambiance, expected for all great wines, and affords the wine lover unforgettable moments of pleasure.
