Giant George

Giant George was a blue Great Dane who was recognized as the world's tallest dog by Guinness World Records in February 2010. Born on November 17, 2005, Giant George measured at 43 inches (110 cm) tall, beating the previous record holder (Titan) by three-quarters of an inch. He was almost 7 feet long. Unlike many other pups that have their own dog beds, Giant George had his own queen-size bed. Even though a big dog, Giant George was afraid of water, scared of dogs a fraction of his size and, most of all, scared of being alone.

He was owned by David and Christine Nasser since he was 7 weeks old. Giant George appeared on many TV shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show after he was given the Guinness title. Giant George passed away on October 17, 2013 at the age of 8.
