Godzilla Raids Again is a 1955 movie produced by Toho. It is the second in the long running Godzilla franchise.

This film is already markedly less serious than its predecessor, which is highlighted by the slight drop in production quality. It features the first appearance of the monster Anguiris, and also Godzilla's first fight with another large monster.

After inexplicably surviving the events of the first movie, Godzilla is spotted fighting Anguiris on an uninhabited island. The brawl between the monsters eventually spills over to the city of Osaka, where the Japanese once again have to determine a plan to save the city.

Produced on a small budget of 800,000 USD, it returned more than ten times that amount in box office sales.

In the US the film was sometimes retitled to "Gigantis the Fire Monster", but most often retains the original name.
