Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez is a critically-acclaimed American actress, singer, fashion model/designer, dancer, and television producer. Lopez began her performing career as a athletic dancer on the Fox television comedy series In Living Color. She subsequently gained recognition by landing four major film roles in succession starting with the 1995 action-thriller Money Train. She earned an ALMA Award in 1997 for Outstanding Actress with her first leading role in the biographical film Selena. She earned her second ALMA Award in 1998 for her performance in Out of Sight. She has since starred in various films, including The Wedding Planner (2001), Maid in Manhattan (2002), Shall We Dance? (2004), Monster-in-Law (2005), and The Back-up Plan (2010).
Lopez rose to the music industry prominence in 1999 with the number one hit single "If You Had My Love" from her debut studio album On the 6. Her second studio album in 2001, J.Lo, sold eight million copies worldwide. She has won numerous music industry awards, including two Grammy Award nominations, two Latin Grammy Award nominations, and three American Music Awards.
