London 2012 Olympic Games

Officially the Games of the XXX Olympiad, the London 2012 Olympic Games takes place in London, United Kingdom, between July 27 to August 12, 2012. The opening ceremony presentation is called ‘Isles of Wonder’ that will showcase the lush British countryside featuring authentic farm animals. The show is directed by Danny Boyle—the Academy Award-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire.

Over 10,000 athletes from 204 countries are expected to participate in the London Games. They will compete in 26 sports with 36 disciplines and 302 events.
