Wimbledon Championships

Located about 13 km southwest of the City of London, Wimbledon is the site of the annual All-England Championships, also known as the Wimbledon Championships, in lawn tennis. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and is the only Major still played on grass, the game's original surface.

Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is the most famous. It has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877, which is a private club founded in 1868.
