A systematic approach to analyzing and changing behavior. The program essentially incorporates the full behavior analysis model (see Figure 1.1). It entails establishment of behavioral objectives; selection and application of valid and reliable measures; regular recording; consistent application of selected procedures based upon principles of behavior; plus an experimental evaluation of results. An applied behavior analysis program sometimes is referred to as a behavior analysis program, behavioral program, or a behavior modification or therapy program.
