iCar

A concept car that was reportedly conceived by Apple's former CEO Steve Jobs which would revolutionize the automotive industry. Powered by Apple's iOS6, Siri and an iPhone, the iCar would offer drivers the capability to find maps and perform basic vehicle control with voice commands. At the core of this technology is something called Siri eyes free mode (SEFM) which allows drivers to call people, select and play music, hear and compose text messages, use maps and get directions, read notifications, find calendar information, add reminders, and more while keeping their eyes on the road.

During its 2012 annual Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple announced a list of nine automotive manufacturers that would integrate SEFM with their vehicles, which include: GM, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi, Toyota, Chrysler and Honda. Their vehicles will feature a button on the steering wheel that will bring up Siri on a connected iPhone.
