A Massachusetts law that requires businesses with three or more staff on duty to give people with medical conditions access to employee-only bathrooms if no public restrooms are available in the vicinity. The law is designed to prevent businesses from turning away people with urgent need from using staff only bathrooms.

Only people with a doctor's note indicating conditions of inflammatory bowel diseases will be covered by the law to gain access to employee-only facilities. Businesses that violate the law will be fined $100 per incident.
