smog mining

Smog mining is the practice of harvesting minerals and other valuable elements from polluted air used in the manufacturing of such products as fertilizers and high-tech equipments. Smog is made up from a variety of particles suspended in air originating from both natural and man-made sources such as volcano eruptions, dust storms, forest and grassland fires, sea spray, burning of fossil fuels in vehicles, power plants, home heating, and various industrial processes. The particles, also called particulate matter, consists of a variety of elements including minerals and other chemical elements such as magnesium, sulfate, calcium, potassium, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and lanthanides.

Smog mining provides an alternative solution for removing smog in polluted cities around the world. Since the method also offers economic benefits, it's much easier to implement for those who invest in such technology.
