Concept that addresses the quality of a screen and describes the open or closed state of a pixel. This occurrence results in either a "lit" pixel or a "missing" pixel respectively. A "lit" pixel is best seen on a dark background, as a permanent colored dot (usually red, blue, or green); a "missing" pixel is understood as a permanent black dot, best seen on a light background.
